At the helm of Fitzgibbon Toigo are Brian Fitzgibbon and Sue Toigo, two industry leaders who have formed personal relationships with a large portion of senior management at the largest funds and financial institutions in the world. Their background gives us a very high level of practical experience and knowledge, as well as an unmatched network of contacts to put to work for our clients.

Brian Fitzgibbon, CEO of Fitzgibbon Toigo & Co. LLC co-founded this Broker-Dealer back in 2002 to assist organizations of merit grow their businesses. With over 3 decades of experience in marketing and sales, he has personally raised close to $10 billion in institutional assets.

From 1982 to 2000, Brian was a Company Director and Senior V.P. of Nomura Asset Management Co., where he created and implemented a business strategy for this Asian start-up firm with a complex investment process under adverse market conditions. He was personally responsible for $7 billion in institutional sales.
After leaving Nomura, Brian became Principal and Exec V.P. of eFrontiers, Inc., an Internet B2B start-up that built an on-line marketplace for the institutional investment community. Investor Weekly dubbed him "The Man at the eFrontier" for his trailblazing efforts in that specific on-line space.
Early in his career, Brian was responsible for new corporate business development at Bernstein Macauley. He was then promoted to Assistant National Sales Manager of Bernstein's parent firm, CBWL Hayden Stone, with direct responsibility for supervising the firm’s private placement participations, where he developed extensive due diligence and analytical experience. He has successfully marketed a diverse group of investments including domestic equity, fixed income, private equity, venture capital, international-global equity, global fixed income, hedge funds, and real estate. Brian honorably served in the 1st Recon Battalion of the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from Fordham University on a scholarship with a BS in Finance. Brian has served as a board member of AIMSE. Brian is also currently membership chair for The Third Party Marketers Association. Brian holds Series 7,24, 63 and 79 registrations.

Sue Toigo, Chairman of Fitzgibbon Toigo & Co. LLC, co-founded the firm initially to help emerging managers get a foothold with major consultants and large financial institutions. Sue has over 30 years of experience building relationships with plan sponsors, consultants, and investment managers.
Prior to forming FTCO, Sue co-founded The Institute for Fiduciary Education, which has been a professional development resource for over 3000 major global fund sponsors and consultants at its seminars held throughout the world. She is also a founding member and Director of the Robert Toigo Foundation, which supports 180 minority students each year in the nation’s top 19 business schools and has over 1,400 alumni in the financial services industry, globally. Her work with the Foundation gives her significant industry presence.

A graduate with honors from the University of California at Berkeley, she has been inducted into the Berkeley Women’s Hall of Fame. Sue served on the Columbia Business School Board of Overseers and has served as a visiting Woodrow Wilson Fellow at universities in Texas, Nebraska, and Indiana. Sue has also spoken on behalf of the U.S. State Department in Australia, New Zealand, Syria, and Chile. She currently holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 registrations.

Managing the day- to -day operations of Fitzgibbon Toigo is Melissa Newman our Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer.
Melissa Newman, Chief Operating Officer/ Chief Compliance Officer, joined Fitzgibbon Toigo at inception. As a Registered Principal, Ms. Newman is responsible for supervising our current roster of registered representatives and handles all regulatory and compliance functions with FINRA and the SEC. She is in charge of updating, monitoring and enforcing the firm’s Anti-Money Laundering Policy and Supervisory Procedures as well as developing and implementing the firm’s Compliance and Continuing Education Programs. Through this role, she apprises the firm of all new regulatory developments and manages all Human Resource and Accounting functions for the firm. She is also responsible for performing extensive due diligence on all potential clients and their investors. Registrations she holds include Series 7, 24, 63, and 79.
Ms. Newman was previously employed by Salomon Smith Barney, where she was primarily involved in evaluating public equity investments for high net worth individuals working closely with the firm’s asset management and consulting group departments. Prior to working in finance, Ms. Newman was employed by E! Entertainment Television, where she maintained client relationships in their Advertising Sales Department.
